Short Story Published! "The Dead of Praeter Road"
Hello Friends!
Just wanted to drop a quick note that the short story prequel to the Baneford series is now available for download.
In 1697, in a small New England town, a merchant lures an unsuspecting victim to his shop on Praeter Road, and she never leaves.
When the townspeople learn he’s responsible for her disappearance and that of several other young women, they sentence him to death, believing him to be a servant of the devil himself.
More than three hundred years later, a young girl discovers her father's bleeding body lying on the pavement in front of their brownstone on Mox Street.
She holds her father’s body in her arms, rocking and wailing, as a terrible sorrow fills her heart.
The mixture of her father’s blood, and her intense, raw pain awakens the merchant’s dormant soul.
In the town of Baneford, Praeter Road has been renamed Mox Street. Many things have changed, but the merchant's dark soul remains the same—craving pain and blood.
The young girl becomes a woman.
She doesn't know it, but she'll be the one to confront his evil, to try and banish his dark soul one last time.
